How Our Practice Works

  1. Chiropractic is different from medicine.

  2. Health, ease and well-being are normal.

  3. Your nervous system controls everything.

  4. Stress can overload your nervous system.

  5. This can produce vertebral subluxation.

  6. Dr. Garrett will conduct a thorough examination.

  7. He will then explain his findings in plain language.

  8. A series of adjustments will be necessary.

  9. Adjustments do not treat your symptoms.

  10. Consistent visits help retrain your spine.

  11. You control the speed of your recovery.

  12. Chose wellness care to avoid relapse.

When coming in for your first appointment at Optimal Health Center we want you to feel welcome! Our excellent staff is here to provide you with answers to any questions you may have.

Many people come in to receive pain relief, while this is something chiropractic can provide, we want to let you know that pain is a poor indicator of health. It is the last symptom to show up and the first to go away, meaning simply because you stop feeling pain does not mean that the problem is resolved. For this reason we recommend following the treatment plan that Dr. Garrett will present to you on your 2nd appointment. Following your personalized treatment plan, will have you feeling pain relief faster and on your path to wellness quicker.

Maintenance is Key to Healthy Living

Once your pain has subsided and the issue has been resolved, you can now enter the maintenance/wellness phase of your care. During this phase you will not have to receive adjustments as frequently as you did during the first phase of your care. The key to maintaining routine chiropractic care is to ensure that you do not relapse, keeping your spine aligned in order to allow your body to work at its best. Failure to keep up with routine chiropractic care may result in the same problem showing up again (and perhaps even worse this time) or similar problems may appear.

It is the same thing as keeping up with an exercise or nutrition program, as long as you follow each plan you will keep seeing better results. Continuing chiropractic care is vital in order to guarantee the health of your musculoskeletal system. Making routine chiropractic care a part of your lifestyle allows you to avoid many of the aches and pains that so many people suffer through, your joints will last longer, and you will be able to engage in more of the activities you love.

*Dr. Garrett is not in network with any insurances, however we can still verify your insurance to see if they offer any chiropractic benefits that can be applied to your treatment plan.
